There are many ways UCP is helping our unreached neighbors experience a better holiday season. In a small way, you can make a big impact. We welcome you to join us in making a difference:
The Closet: Sort, label and price gently used toys and household items at Herndon's thrift store.
Hypothermia Program: Prepare and/or serve hot meals for our unhoused neighbors residing at the Hypothermia Shelter. Donations are also being collected. Learn more.
Lake Anne Fellowship: Donate gift cards for seniors. Gift cards to Target or Giant for $20 are requested. To give to a specific senior, you are invited to select a name from the Angel Tree by the Sanctuary. You also have the opportunity to write them a card.
December 17: gift cards due
Toy Drive: Touch the lives of children and youth in our community by donating unwrapped toys (for newborns-age 11) or $25 Target gift cards for those ages 12-18. Children supported by FISH are recipients of these gifts. Suggested toys: Legos, sports equipment, crafts and puzzles. Make one-on-one connections by volunteering to help parents of kids receiving gifts sort and select items.
through December 15: drop off toys
December 15-17: help sort and distribute
Contact us if you are interested in touching a life this season and/or for more information about any of these opportunities.
